That is the Kind of Guy I am

Every day I go out and Discover Trinidad.
That is the kind of guy I am.
I love it here.
Trinidad is my home.

On the lighthouse bench,
I discover Trinidad's seas.
I watch light on the waters,
a vast kaleidoscope that moves and shimmers.
Furthermore,
it is the harbinger of the day's weather.

On my walk, I enjoy the people I meet -
"Good morning" and "You're looking good".
Mother always said,
"To have a friend - be one."

The redwood forest comes closest to the ocean here.
Sitka spruce start growing on offshore rocks.
The vegetation is intensely green.
The species list of flora and fauna is immense.
Here closely in touch with nature,
I feel the wonder of it all.

Every day I go out and Discover Trinidad.
That is the kind of guy I am.
